Down the Back of the Seats

What happens when public spaces and the public meet?

What’s left behind?

What’s been found that’s unexpected? What stories are there to tell?

Down the back of the Seats is a podcast from my friend Ellen Mainwood, manager of Campbeltown Picture House, and myself, which tries to answer these questions by exploring the culture of cinema and event going.

Down the Back of the Seats offers you tales from behind the scenes at the cinema, theatre, concert hall – wherever people meet, linger and leave things or bits.

It’s great fun to record. We’ve had a host of lovely guests spending time with us, too. It’s a project I always look forward to spending time on.

It can be found through audioboom, or wherever you normally find your podcasts.
